Founded and operated by husband-and-wife team Christie and Devin, our company is built on quality craftsmanship, honest communication, and a commitment to doing the job right—every time.

Hands Down Painting is truly a family operation. Christie and Devin work directly in the business, overseeing projects, managing crews, and communicating with clients throughout each phase of the job. Their adult children are also involved, each bringing their own skills and strengths to support preparation, production, logistics, and day-to-day operations.

Christie leads client communication, project planning, and finish standards. With 28 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial painting, she brings a strong eye for preparation, color coordination, and detail. Her focus is making sure each project is clearly scoped, properly prepped, and professionally completed—no rushed work, no guesswork.

Devin oversees operations and jobsite management, ensuring projects run smoothly and efficiently. His steady leadership and strong work ethic help maintain clean, respectful job sites and consistent quality from start to finish.

Outside of their business, Christie and Devin also serve as local ministers with The Formed Church in Jackson, Tennessee, where the values they live by carry into their work: integrity, accountability, respect, and treating people well.

Colby specializes in detailed trim and cut-in work, as well as cabinet painting and finishing. She also independently oversees smaller projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed with precision, cleanliness, and attention to detail. Her steady hand and eye for detail are key to achieving clean lines and high-end finishes.

Dennis handles all rolling work and plays a lead role in overseeing larger projects, including full interiors, exterior painting, and deck staining. He ensures production stays on schedule, surfaces are properly prepared, and coatings are applied consistently for durable, long-lasting results. Dennis works full time and is deeply involved in the execution of major projects.

Courtney works part time in the cabinet preparation department, assisting with sanding, cleaning, masking, and prep work required for professional cabinet finishes. Her role helps ensure surfaces are properly prepared before painting, which is critical to achieving a smooth, durable final result.

Cassidy owns and operates Cassidy’s Cleaning, a full-time professional cleaning business. She offers construction and post-project cleanup services to Hands Down Painting clients who want a fully cleaned, move-in-ready space after painting is complete. This optional service provides added convenience and a polished final experience.

Because we are family-operated, every team member is personally invested in the quality of our work and the satisfaction of our clients. Roles are clearly defined, communication stays consistent, and projects are handled with care from start to finish.
